Tudor Gingerbread Man
Gingerbread bread can be traced back as far as 15th century cookery books of Tudor England, with culinary recipes calling it 'gingered' bread way back then. It was this fact that inspired me to create this half Tudor brick cottage nestling deep in the snowy landscape. The little cottage has undergone some modern renovations but retains much open brickwork together with new wall paneling reminiscent of what original tudor homes loved to include for added warmth and architectural interest. The cottage has been simple decorated for the festive season. The original gingerbread template now has an extra floor housing a bedroom with small snug area, also a bathroom divided between the two arm areas. Below on the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen sitting area ..together with small study and dining area and circular area with staircase.
The bedroom area has a small snug type area and unlike the ground floor has the addition of fitted carpet.
festive style rugs have been framed and used as artwork.
the bathroom has been split into two areas across the hall from each other.
The stairwell has a simple Christmas display and a trio of windows mirroring the lower level.
The cottage has been furnished very simply but has a homely elegance and charm.
Festive decorations add a warming touch as does the open fire.
The area has been divided by the kitchen area and other small partition walls.
Mirrors have been used throughout to help create an illusion of space.
One end of the hallway is a simple dining area to the other a home study area.
The circular 'head ' of this gingerbread home is where the stairs to the new upstairs area are located.
Here comes Santa

ohhh!!!!! You have made the Christmas design 👏👏👏👏👏 I stopped by several times to see your Christmas design, but there was no design 🥲 I thought you must be very busy. Your Christmas cards were the best in the app haha And this year you have not disappointed either. I find it an absolutely original and beautiful design. I love the work on the floor framing the whole design with the different orientation of the clinker bricks.

The splendor of this impressive Tudor house carries from the outside to the inside! I love how the garden was transformed into a winter wonderland and preparing one for the lovely christmas atmosphere that was spread so lovingly throughout the house! The limited space was utilized to perfection and the flow of the house was amazingly good and comfortable. What a wonderful and thoughtful design!!
