Dark Academia Interior
Dark Academia is a relatively new interior design style and is known for its moody, maximalist, eclectic look. This style often features traditional architectural details such as moulding and panelling and a dark colour palette. The furniture in this style is usually wooden with high-quality vintage pieces. As the name suggests, the overall atmosphere reflects 'academia' which is portrayed through the use of books, bookcases, bureaus, globes, clocks and university-style light fixtures. Common materials in this style include dark woods, velvet, suede, leather, tweed, wool and tapestry.
