Earthy brick and concrete.

This house was planned around the earthiness of rustic red brick and the industrial twist of raw concrete and steel. The house was stretched out in different living zones and was cleverly separated in different areas by the use of the over sized glass doors and the over sized rustic concrete pillar which has to be the biggest x-factor of the whole house. Earthy tones and muted colors, natural materials throughout.

The open plan living room was divided in different seating areas by the use of an over sized concrete column which created the most wonderful x-factor to the space. On one side it is screened off by glass doors into the hallway and entrance, and on the other side similar doors to the kitchen dining

On the other side of the concrete column is this area, which she describes as the feminine side. It has lovely views out on the garden, and the colors and feel of the space is softer and lighter.

In the long, narrow space of the dining room, she used the longest dining table she could fit in! And for her, it is an easy thing to lay out a simple meal of bread and wine, fill the room with friends and to talk long into the night.
