Tropical Bohemian Dining Room

this dining room is in the inner suburbs of a city in southeast asia. the owner relocated from japan in their 20s, taking few belongings but retaining the art seen on the left wall. they lived nomadically for a long portion of their life, but have since reconciled to living in one location. they find the city helpful but overwhelming, and so designed this room as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of their nearby cosmopolitan neighbourhoods. they like hosting, and have refreshments readily available for those who drop by. the chair under their artwork is their cat’s favourite spot to nap.
