Ethnic meets Industrial Chic
This design tells the story of a house with mostly Industrial bones, who meets a partner with a big Ethnic flair and they fall in love and make a home together. The industrial footprint of the house like the steel window and door frames, the steel pergola and steel veranda was kept intact. They also played along with the geometric structure of the house and the concrete floors, but then added all the colors and pattern of Ethnic Africa they could find to warm it all up and to create a warm and welcoming home. Ethnic influences came out in bold color, pattern and carefully selected artwork. The house was done on two levels, keeping the height and the industrial lines and materials.
Two bedrooms of which one also multi functions as a television lounge.
Two bathrooms, on upstairs, on en suite with master bedroom downstairs.
Ample living spaces inside and outside.
Front entrance with the steel pergola. Set in the Mountains in the fresh country side!
Ancient creepers kept on the walls with vines!

The second bedroom upstairs was closed off with sliding doors for privacy when guests sleep over. It was fitted out with a good sleeper couch for that occasions. It also doubles up as an entertainment room with Television.
See how all the colors of the beautiful African dawn and sunset plays together with the black steel.
This is the upstairs lounge area. The space was divided into different zones: seating, reading and an office area. Bright and spacious and adorned with the colors and patterns of the Ethnic African culture.

The main bedroom is downstairs and has it's own bathroom.
The colors and Ethnic patterns ......bold but also subdued for a calm restful atmosphere....
The master bathroom is a continuation of color and pattern from the main bedroom. It was kept fairly minimum to let the pattern speaks for itself....

The artworks for this house was chosen carefully to compliment and enhance the Ethnic patterns and to bring in some of the bold color statements..
